Our guide to the best content for press releases, articles, your web site, social media, email marketing and more!

Just like the editorial team of an engineering magazine we'll work with you to come up with the best ideas for producing amazing content that will engage your customers and potential customers alike. Enthuse them with your products, your company, your brand and your ability to meet their challenges, innovate, and provide solutions!

Best practice, how-to and educational articles

No one knows your products and services like you do and engineers are always keen to learn something new, especially if it improves performance, efficiency, safety and possibly cuts maintenance and operating costs etc.

Your content could help your customers do their jobs better and make more informed choices when specifying products that will meet their challenges. Beyond making the best product choices, think in terms of installation, maintenance, energy efficiency, innovation, reducing downtime and the lifetime cost of the products themselves.

Articles like this will be highly valued by your customers and potential customers alike and should be featured on your web site as well submitting them to the press for possible publication. Content like this also helps to position your company as the voice of authority within your industry.

Application stories and case studies

Application stories should focus on the way your products or services have helped to improve a customer's manufacturing processes, perhaps by increasing productivity, reducing maintenance, cutting downtime, or improving efficiency etc.

They should focus not just on the solution your company provided but include a description of your customer, what they do and the challenges they were facing. It's not a problem if you choose not to name your customer. We can refer to them in generic industry terms.

Product News

Product news includes information about a new product your company has added to its range, or perhaps an entirely new product range. This includes product development stories and anything that has changed about a product or a product range that would be of interest to customers. It doesn't even need to be something new. If you haven't written about a product or product range before outside of catalogues and brochures why not do it now?

Professional video

We can produce great, professional videos either at your premises, in a studio or on location. We handle the scriptwriting and video production. The possibilities are endless, from videos of machinery and products in action or interviews with one of your leading engineers, video makes for great, engaging content for your customers!

We can also arrange video interviews with the editors of some of the leading engineering magazines. Some of the options available include promotion of the video on the magazine's social media and web site, as well as on your web site, social media and email marketing.

Company news

This could be anything from an expansion of your manufacturing capabilities, the acquisition of new plant, equipment or machinery, a factory expansion, improved customer services, investment in stock, improving delivery time on standard products or the employment of new staff. Anything at all that your company does that might be beneficial to customers is worth telling the world about.

Contract news

Major contracts are almost always worth reporting, especially if your customer is a household name. Of course, we'll need to get permission from your customer before we could release the story, but this can be bypassed by simply refering to your customer as 'a major car manufacturer' or 'a large soft drinks manufacturer'.

Very often though the news story is beneficial to your customer too and we've worked with many customers of clients who enthusiastically worked alongside us to make sure the story is just right. In a few cases we've even produced variations of the story for the customer's own use that has helped to strengthen the professional relationship with our client. Contract news stories can often be combined with application stories and if the story's interesting enough it's not uncommon for a magazine to ask for an exclusive.

Factory visits

Articles about your factory, manufacturing plant and equipment, explaining how your products are made, make for good reading in the engineering press, and across all your platforms.

Engineers, are likely to find it interesting to read about how your products are made. Perhaps focus on one particular range of products or one of your capabilities that might be of interest to customers.

We once wrote an article for Renold Gears, in partnership with a leading engineering magazine, about how high precision worm gears are manufactured.

The whole process took place through email. We put the questions to Renold Gears on behalf of the magazine's editor and over a period of about two weeks we put together a fascinating two page article.

The online version of the magazine had a counter to see how many times each of its news stories and articles had been read. Within about two to three weeks our article hit the number one spot, where it remained for several months!
