Drive system configuration made simple with new online tool
According to Motec the selection and design of drive systems has been significantly simplified with the development of a new online drive configurator, KeDrive, by Keba Industrial Automation. Motec are the authorised UK agents for Keba.
The product configurator for drive systems enables engineers to design a drive system, with all the necessary products and accessories, in just a few clicks. Thanks to a selection guide, intuitive operation and 3D visualisation, configuration can be done quickly, safely and online.
While using the KeDrive Configurator only suitable system components are displayed. The 3D visualisation enables users to see what the system looks like and check the dimensions for control cabinets. There is also the option of getting a quick non-binding quote from within the tool, or the results can be saved. This allows projects to be accessed and progressed from any location and at any time.
According to Andrew Fallows, managing director of motec: ‘The KeDrive configurator is the culmination of a project that started with the launch of the KeDrive D3 series, a few years back, after consultation with engineers at customers, Keba’s in-house sales and support teams, and its sales partners.
The aim, not only to present the product range in an interactive way, but also to simplify the specifying process. The time saving and reduction in errors is significant.’
The KeDrive configurator can be accessed at https://www.keba.com/en/industrial-automation/products/servo-controllers/configurator or search KeDrive Configurator.
